Our philanthropic impact

The third aim of the Canadian Physicians Financial Wellness Conference is social impact. Our conference strives to set an example of paying it forward by donating our net ticket proceeds to philanthropic causes. In 2021, we made a donation of $14,075 to Habitat for Humanity GTA in support of affordable housing.
In 2022, we created The Equity Award, an endowment fund that aims to give back to medical students with high financial need. The 2022 Equity Award was presented to Noroh Dakim, an international student from Nigeria (read more about her story here).
More information on the award will be announced at the conference.
If you would like us to establish a bursary fund for students at your medical school or have a charitable endeavour related to addressing financial inequity and financial literacy please send us a pitch deck with more information about the cause and how the funds will be used.
Do I get a charitable donation receipt for attending the conference?
